We exist to advocate for Sonographers by addressing the issues that impact our profession—both publicly and, when needed, anonymously through our platform.
Our mission is to hold organizations accountable and give Sonographers a unified voice. This includes tackling urgent concerns such as the ARDMS petition, which challenges unnecessary increases in dues and added skills testing requirements, despite Sonographers already fulfilling continuing medical education (CME) obligations.
By amplifying these concerns, NSO strives to protect Sonographers from burdens that do not advance patient care, while pushing for fairness, transparency, and recognition of our profession. When Sonographers are pressured to prioritize quantity over quality, it leads to higher rates of work-related injuries and compromises the standard of diagnostic care that patients depend on.
